We are pleased that you are interested in viadee and have applied or are considering applying for a position at our company. Below, we would like to inform you about how we process your personal data in connection with your application.

2. What Data Do We Process from You and for What Purpose?

We process the data you provide to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or, if applicable, other open positions in our company) and to carry out the application process.

3. What Is the Legal Basis for This?

The primary legal basis for processing your personal data during this application procedure is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Accordingly, the processing of data necessary for the decision on establishing an employment relationship is permitted.

In addition, we collect and process personal data that you provide to us voluntarily. The processing of this data takes place on the basis of your revocable consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a), Article 7 GDPR in conjunction with § 26(2) BDSG.

If, after the application process is completed, data is required for legal action, data processing may occur on the basis of the requirements of Article 6 GDPR, in particular for the purposes of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest in such cases lies in the assertion or defense of claims.

If special categories of personal data as defined by Article 9 GDPR are processed (e.g., health data), the legal basis is § 26(3) BDSG and/or Article 9(2)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

4. How Long Is the Data Stored?

If you are not selected for the position, your applicant data will be deleted 4 months after notification of rejection.

If you are offered a position as a result of the application process, your data from the applicant tracking system will be transferred to your personnel file.

5. To Whom Is the Data Disclosed?

For the application process, we use services and applications from Atlassian Pty Ltd. and Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. These companies act as service providers for us and may become aware of your personal data in the course of maintaining and servicing the systems.

We have entered into data processing agreements with these providers to ensure that data processing is carried out in a legally compliant manner.

After receiving your application, your applicant data will be reviewed by our HR department. Suitable applications are then internally forwarded to the responsible persons for the respective open position. The next steps will then be coordinated. Within the company, only those individuals who need your data for the proper execution of the application process have access to it.

6. Where Is the Data Processed?

The data is processed exclusively in data centers located within the European Union.

7. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process concerning you.

If your request for information is not made in writing, please understand that we may require proof verifying your identity.

You also have the right to rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing, insofar as these rights are granted to you by law.

Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your data in accordance with legal requirements. The same applies to your right to data portability.

We update this privacy notice whenever changes to the application process or other circumstances make it necessary. The most current version can always be found on this website.
